I was posting that about the Sunday loss - just was a few days behind. glad the Wings were able to even the series, but. . . if they have this much trouble beating an owner-less team, how are they going to bring home the cup? They have to put it in top gear, and quick.

Phoenix was a legit team this year. This was actually a matchup I didn't want for Detroit in the first round. The Coyotes always play Detroit well. They have for years now. They split the games they played in the regular season 2-2. That was before Detroit got healthy again and went on that monsterous tear at the end of the season.

What Phoenix has that they haven't had in the past is coaching. Coaching, Coaching, Coaching. Sure Gretzky was the greatest player of all time, but that guy couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. Tippet is a helluva coach with the wins to back that up. The Coyotes have been a decent team, even though the stats don't really back that up, and all they were missing was a coach that new how to put the pieces together. It also doesn't hurt that they picked up some really good free agents in the beginning of the season :wink:

With all that said, I hope Detroit can nail the coffin shut in the next two games. My playoff beard is way to short right now. It would look pretty good come June when the Wings are yet again hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup!

Washington Capitals go up 3-1 on Montreal..and I'll be at the game on Friday night to see the Caps take it all...Go Caps!!

No foolin'. The last three games have been hard on my ticker. I missed game one due to work, but the other two should have been Detroit W's. They just let it slip away..... Well that and the horrible goaltending, but they have been dealing with that all year :grim:

Couldn't watch the first and second game, couldn't get it on tv. I listened to them on the radio. Last night was a freakin joke, officials as always were in the crapper (both sides) and yes Detroit just let the game go! Major disappointment, I hope they have it in them to pull it out :pepper:

Whatever they did before game 4, they need to do that again. I couldn't believe Franzen in the first period! Hopefully if they play even close to that level again, they will win game 5 :pepper:

I would like to draw your attention to my location. . . I have seen 2 playoff games so far this season. Most of my following is online. So I usually pick up hockey around the end of football season, since I couldn't care less about basketball.
