If it was me, I'd use some quick setting glue and put the other end of the key up to it. Let it dry a lil and pull it out.

i was talking to a friend about that same idea and i don't want to take the chance of welding the key in it and have to replace more than just the key

If you know a lock smith, that would be best. There are tools that are used for extraction of broken keys out there.

Gem City Lock & Key @ 4th/St. Clair will get it out for a few bucks. But most any lock smith can do it. If you have a thin pick you could probably tickle it out yourself.

I would not try the glue, IMHO.

My family has owned and operated a locksmith company in Albany ny since 1885 and I've been hanging around the lock shop since I was 2 years old.....I'm 20 years old now and I run one of our stores in Clifton park ny and I love what I do.....anyway lol please please please don't use glue....it's a quick way to a nice $300 ignition replacement.....bite the bullet and spend the $5-$15 a locksmith will charge and get it done right. Good luck! :JEEPIN:
