Amsoil here too. I blow it out every oil change with the air gun. Switched to it from the K&N drop-in that I had before it. K&N kept greasing down my MAF.

...and I know how to properly oil the K&N filters. I was not saturating it. I have run them on other cars and motorcycles for years with no issues. I even tried it with a very light, less than adequate, spraying of the filter charger. Still got and oily MAF.

It's because the 3.7L sucks so hard..... :juggle:

Fram.

Periodically I take a Q-tip and wipe the inside of my intake hose above the filter, between the filter and throttle body. I have never once been able to see any residue.

Given that my intake tube has never failed the white-glove test with a Fram, I'm satisfied with it.

I’ve got the Amsoil filter in my Dodge Cummins, Jeep Liberty, and Jeep Cherokee

Not very much in Western Washington. On another thread I posted my experience in Eastern Washington which is high desert. Had that superfine dust like what our soldiers describe in Iraq. The entire interior, bumpers and door jams were covered in what was effectively brown talcum powder. Crud was blowin outta my vents for two months.

I stuck one of those "air purifier" carbon/foam dealies you can get at target/walmart that are supposed to go in front of the heppa filter, after the blower for that exact reason, have to change it every 6 months or so

don't really run the air/heat often, i'm sure its due for a change, stupid pollen :(

even though it's a mesh carbon filter fine particulate sticks very well to it like they're statically charged or something

After the blower? So that's down in the footwell under the passenger side dash?
