My Dentist told me to say good bye to silver fillings.

Today my dentist had to replace an old filling in my #15 tooth. He asked me what line of work I am in, I responded Waste Water & Water Purification Equipment. Now Get this:
Even though it is OK Healthy Wise to use silver fillings in your teeth that contain very very small minute trace amounts of Mercury, the EPA is going to require dentists offices to have highly sophisticated waste water pretreatment systems to keep the very very small minute trace amounts of Mercury out of the waste water going to the sewer plant. Instead of paying for the expensive pretreatment equipment, dentists will stop using silver fillings and use the plastic stuff that my dental insurance will not pay for at this time. If you don't agree the EPA is Mega Stupid, spit into a jar and take it to a toxic waste dump and pay lots of money to dispose of spit contaminated by very very small minute trace amounts of Mercury.
To show your protest to the Mega Stupidity of the EPA and the Federal Government, please spit into the sink after you floss and brush your teeth. That way you will be sending a very very small minute trace amounts of Mercury into the waste water going to the sewer plant.
Since I work in the Waste Water/Water Treatment Equipment Industry, I will have to state the obvious, the EPA is a BUNCH OF COMPLETE TOTAL IDIOTS!!

The EPA is filled with a bunch of over regulating tree huggers. Some of their regs are good, but others make you go

Unfortunately some people that can't or won't do anything useful themselves get jobs where they can make sure others are prevented from doing useful things also.

I'm all for what the mission of the EPA is supposed to be. The problem is that there are examples like this one that show they have hired a few too many morons and put them in positions of authority.

not sure how common it is, but there's been people, myself included, that have had a health problem arise due to the mercury in fillings

i'd be less concerned about it if they did it due to possible health risks from it rather than waste water

not like the gov wasn't intentionally dumping mercury into clouds during weather control tests years ago

CDC should hold the clout on any mercury health related issue, not the EPA.
I don't react to mercury fillings, but I do react to aspartame, give me a diet coke on a plane with a terrorist, he would no longer be a safety problem. Lots of perfumes give me a blinding headache, but I can work around waste water all day. Again, it is no place for the EPA to outlaw aspartame or regulate the emissions of perfume. I do the best I can to avoid what I react to.
