Not hard to do at all, esp. if you have stock suspension.
The way I do it, Pull the brake caliper, UCA, LCA, tie rod end and loosen the nut on the end of the CV, pull off the spindle and pull out the CV and intermediate shaft ( on the right side) Reverse everything to reinstall
right side is super easy to do, left a little harder but still easy

Sorry
Axle nut size is 35, remanned ones from NAPA have been coming with 36 mm though
If you have a lift its easier I think to remove the spring assembly completely. That way you have a nice straight shot to work the CV/ intermediate shaft out. Only takes 5 minutes more to remove it, can be done with it in but takes a little more wiggle room.
Torque, I should have it down in my head by now with all the ones I've done but its out in the garage on the wall

Installed the inner axle and cv joint yesterday and now have a few problems. While installing the cv joit I crushed the rubber boot it is not riped or torn it just does not spiral smoth when you turn wheel by hand. Second thing is when I switch to 4wheel I have a noise kinda clicking grinding noise. I crawled under and I can move the inner shaft on the cv a 1/4-1/2 in and out but it fells like the shaft is hiting and bottom out in the case.

The boot you should be able to reform by hand if it is just pushed down some.
Grinding noise?
You used a new intermediate and remanned CV ?

Ok update. The good is Im getting pretty good at taking this apart and putting it back togeather. The bad I have a bad noise when I go into 4 wheel. It is ok if you dont give it any gas. Once you give it a little it makes the noise.

Look at the rear of the front driveshaft, if the boot is gone more than likely there's your noise. Also can wiggle it up and down to see but most times boot goes, then noise.

Im gonna run outside and check right now. This noise seems like its way up front. Maybe from the front dif.

Just checked and part of that boot is gone. To remove the driveshaft is it just removing the 6 bolts on either end? Any part numbers and were to get one? Dang this noise still seems like its way up front more. I was almost wondering if I got a bad cv joint or I damaged it putting it in.

Noise will travel and fool you at times
Yes those 6 bolts per end remove those, pull the rear of the driveshaft forward some, then angle it up above the transfer case, front will then drop down out so you can remove it.
I got one from Eric at Automotive Parts Unlimited in New Jersey, 800-270-5224, ericautopart@aol.com

And some people are having custom front drive shafts made that us U-Joints instead of the CV-Type that comes stock. Stronger and may be cheaper. Some have experienced vibration issues with them though. That is likely to depend on the quality of the work and how well they can balance it.
