truetrac. Really consider LSD, solid, strong and quite $390~. Also assuie list a locker for the KJ for $229, cheap but it's back ordered so not sure if it is actually released or not. Other option is ARB which would be a full locker engaged with air compresser. About $800

Ray, I'm just curious as to how you like those Iridium Plugs?

Thanks

I like them alot. I first bought a set for my 2004 that my dad drives and now a set for the 05. I saw about a 1 mpg increase on both and a noticeable difference when towing.

Thanks, I was wondering if they really do make a difference or not.

I recently installed a Truetrac in the front and I'm diggin' it. I like the fact that it is an LSD, but without clutches. Its also a stout piece of work.

What would be an average price to have the thing installed? I guess if you took the axle out yourself that would save you several hundred dollars? I have heard very good things about the TruTrack. $329 is a great deal

BigHause,

Don't do it at 4wheelparts, it will cost you and arm and a leg. I believe well over $400

I can get my reciepts out tomorrow for last years prices.

Change the seals while your at it. Make sure they give you all of the parts back.

Tru-trac is the Bomb!

The way it sounds, the front is a killer. Do they make a truetrac for the rear? How is it a lsd but doesnt have clutches?

I do believe they make a true-trac for the 8.25" Not sure if anyone has tried it yet, or if the ABS toner rig get in the way. They are pretty cool little units. I believe that is what the old HMMVs use to have in there axles.

HMMVs use torsen limited slips. Torsens are similar to the truetrac in that they don't have clutches, only gears. The Torsen is a good unit and is pretty reliable.

For a 3.7 lliter V6 engine, model number is 912A314, for a Dana 30 axle and 3.73 ratio.

Nice little wonder!
