Hi all,

First post tot he jeep forum.

Bought a 2006 jeep CRD liberty limited (cherokee here in the uk it is right hand drive) 6,000miles on the clock in absolute great condition bought from an old man.

It is right hand drive here in the uk.

I have noticed today a drip of clear, odourless, non greasy fluid dripping from the vehicle on the passenger (left hand side) from a piece of metal exactly 1/2 way between both wheels. There appears to be no source for this drip.

I have topped up the washer bottle (which was not empty) the radiator resevoir is full no change and I ran the A/C for about 1hr yesterday for the 1st time since owing the vehicle.

Am I being paranoid? Is this simply just the A/C water overflow fluid, or is it likely to be more sinister?

The fluid doesnt seem to be coming from anywhere near the front of the vehicle.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Cheers

Neil

A/C drain, totally normal.Your A/C even works on other settings also like defrost and such, even when you have full heat selected.

Yep - ac drain! I had exactly the same reaction when I first bought my 2005. We were out on our first longish run (up to Shrewsbury) and I saw this pool form under the vehicle when we stopped for lunch. After going over everything and not finding a leak, I called out the recovery service and had it taken to the dealer. I felt both relieved and a bit of a pillock when it was explained to me
