I am thinking about front strut replacement. What struts should I consider and how hard is it to replace them. I have access to a pneumatic spring compressor and occasionally a lift. Thanks in advance.

OME - the rancho valving doesn't work as well for CRD's

although the couple of folks using Bilsteins have been real impressed - I haven't tried them.

That is very odd since the OME's gave my KJ a very mushy ride/feel where as the Rancho's gave a much better firm ride.Oh and my KJ out weighed a CRD by a long ways.

Rancho's didn't damp on mine - and they didn't work for the CRD's that All-J's worked with.

and your IFS weight shouldn't be that much more - I've got the same bumpers and full skids.
You have the winch is on the front - but the tool box/ extra carriers on the rear - that helps your overall weight distribution - so even if you're heavier, it's not as front heavy.

Well when I weighed it when still IFS is was 2780lbs for the front axle and 2700lbs for the rear axle,SFA'd it's 2900lbs front and 3010lbs rear.
