Just wondering what the max tire size I can throw on. I upgraded to 245/70R16 but soon enough I'll be putting a lift on and Im a little worried about the transmission. How much does it cost for them to reprogram the computer for tire sizing?

From what I've heard it shouldn't cost anything:)

depends on the dealership
somewhere between free and an hour labor (takes them about 10 seconds once the computers connected)

oh - and a few dealerships deny that it can be done.

it's a pinion reset - some years can only choose tire sizes - some allow them to plug in revolutions per mile.

you'll notice a performance difference at 245/75/16(+5%) - but most problems are at the 265/75/16 (+10%)level

with 245-70s you'll never notice a difference. Most report that the speedo is right on with the upgrade
going to 245-75s then yes

I've noticed that after goin from 245/70-16 ATs to 245-75-16 MTRs I've noticed the speedo off by about 3-4mph. I'm also getting a wierd noise from the front now thinking it's my CVs
