LetfreedomRing, I love that Jeep! Thoes rims are my second favorites, next to the Rubicon Moabs. Have little fear about the manual. If I can teach my wife to drive a manual on my '07 with no adverse results, it will take anything!!!! :ROTFL:

That's good, I have to teach my wife also.... :|

Well, took the jeep on vacation over the weekend and straight way wish I hadn't. :?

About 8 hours into our vacation I was the last car to get rearended in a chain reaction. :(

A dodge 3500 dually was towing a goose neck trailer, couldn't get stopped, and proceeded to smack a Jeep wrangler, which in turn hit a toyota suv which got shifted to the left and took out my driver's side taillight, rear fender flare, and bumper cover.... Only 14 days of owning it and this happens....... :x

Yes, everyone had insurance. Although the insurance company told me that the way the cop wrote up the accident report, everything is going to take longer..... :x

Apparently the cop got everyone's info and put it under an accident report number, which he said to give to insurance company. But......Insurance company said I should have just gotten the Dodge guy's insurance info, as it would have been a lot faster. :banghead:

Hey guys, new guy here looking to purchase a Liberty. I ran across a Freedom edition with 50,000 miles on it with a 5 speed for $8,900. First of all, is this a good deal? Judging from all the months I've been searching for one, it sure seems like it.

Anyways, my major question here is how reliable is the 5 speed manual compared to the automatic? I like the idea of another 5 speed, but will look elsewhere if they aren't as reliable as the automatic.

Also, I did try searching, but all I ended up with was the CRD guys complaining that they all wanted a manual.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Note: I had to glue the taillight back on which doesn't make it look as bad as it was. :|
