My weekend project that's been awhile in planning:

Drove 500 miles round trip for the Moab wheels on Friday night.

All of the pieces laid out

Jeep in ready position

Finished product

I'll get some better pics tonight. My father and I spent awhile on this getting it all in and setup. We were surprised at how tall it make the final product, not quite as tall as his 2010 Rubicon with 35's but kinda close

I need to take it for an alignment tonight, but just to get it to drive down the road we had to adjust the lower Arms out so that they tires sat flat on the ground, they were tipped in bad at the bottom. Then we had to go 5 full turns out on each of the tie rod ends to get the toe in to an acceptable level.

I have one more rear isolator for the back, I'll be putting that in within a few weeks. After the alignment tonight and some fender/pinch weld trimming up front tomorrow it will be ready for the new 245/75/16 Goodyear Dura Trac's later this week.

Now for a roof rack and saving for the ARB

One question that I didn't see answered from my reading -

Should I have my new tires put on before the alignment or can I have the alignment done then the new tires? The new tires will be the same size as the current ones 245/75/16 just a more aggressive tread.

I am purchasing my franky this week and figuring out tires...
so are you recommending the 245/75/16s over the 70s? B/c the 75's are 1 inch taller than the 70's...
Just trying to figure out mine!

Yeah I recommend the 245/65/16 cause they are an inch taller :ROTFL:

265/75/16 would be better but I'm not doing an ARB just yet and I ok with the 245's for a year or so :-)r

I have a set of kinda used 245/65/16's on there now and I didn't have to pund the pinch welds - but I'm going to as the new tires will be close and I'm not taking the chance. The front inner corner of the wheel well touches at full tilt, basically it touches the very bottom of that air spoiler thing under the front bumper, so that needs to go

no need for ARB.. just have to cut till they fit! i have a ton of pictures of my jeep with the stock bumper and 265/75's
