I hit two deer in my 86 Subaru Brat. That thing was like a magnet! ARB wouldn't have helped me much with the first one cause it spun around and nailed the passenger door with it's big ol' head. Kerblam! Blood, deer hair, snot all down the side of my truck. Illegal to take roadkill. Well, it was then...I think it's legal to eat road kill in TN now though. :-)

Wouldn't have saved me from the second one either 'cause that dumb buck :wink: just came flying out of the forest and nailed the driver's door. I think it was the first one's son or something. Just came running out at top speed and BLAM!

Grumppee's got a black ARB on his silver Limited. Looks good. Might give you an idea of what it would look like on the blue. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=6191

I'm not sure it's 'steel blue', but it's certainly some kind of blue, here's a shot of our club's ex-president's KJ with colour-coded ARB;

The tactical teams at work have a few GM SUV's with ARB on em...they use em for knocking down fences and garage doors and stuff....its a tough bumper....law enforcement tested.. :wink:

you guys think that the arb bumper could save a jeep from a collision with a running deer?

I once hit a deer in a Lincoln Navigator going 70 mph. How can I put this pleasantly? The deer blew-up. I freaked. Blood and guts galore! As for the luxury vehicle: the grill and licsense plate needed to be replaced. I think and ARB will save the bumper, but as for the hood and the edges of the grill, doubt it.

good points all around. i won't be seeing any moose running across the highways by me. if anything, i'd be a deer. They are everywhere by me.

How hard is it to install an ARB bumper? Anyone have any tips or things to watch out for. Just bought a used one and cant wait to go pick it up and install it. Any help would be appreciated!

It's easy so long as you have someone to help out.

It comes the color of the sport flares doesn't it? I was thinking about getting one and taking it to line-X, just like I did for my current brush guard and rock rails.

Got the one from Chicago area, pretty good price I guess and with the extra parts with it seemed like a pretty good deal. If all goes right running over tomorrow to get it. About 4 hours away so a nice Sunday efternoon run!
Hope its as good as he made it seem.
