you might ping Calif. they're normally the official sponsors - they keep the legal waivers.
although lots of them have switched to JK's and they're not as active here.
date is normally around EJS but not the same week (trails would be too crowded)

I am aware of that.. I assumed a mod would see this and talk to the mod squad and someone would start something even if it's a "feeler for LJS" forum. It's already kind of too late since people have to plan their lives.

I'm not the best candidate for the job although I did volunteer to help last year but was largely ignored by the organizer who bailed... bygones.

I do know that the organizer from the very sucessful 2009 LJS contacted an admin at least a month ago to volunteer again and he's been largely ignored.

There are preliminary plans to go rouge and put together and unaffiliated safari in MOAB if there's not an LJS 2011 in place by winter. No matter what happens, make plans to be in MOAB Spring of '11.
