A couple of days ago my wife mentioned that the CEL was on again..was it supposed to be?

No..
So hooked up the scanner and pulled a P0401..EGR ciruit low..YEA!!!I don't that working anyway.
So I cleared the code and so far it hasn't come back..:)

while I had the scanner hooked up I check the fuel pressures..they are if my scanner reports them correctly.
idle around 37,000KPa or about 5300 psi
reving around 60,000KPa or about 8700 psi
a quick flooring peaks around 90,000KPa - 13,000psi ..
Can someone else verify these numbers they seem low to me. the Jeep is running fine

Idle and normal driving numbers seem about right to me based on my memory of my own scanner's info. I didn't try a WOT test that I can recall tho, b/c it wasn't behaving properly and throwing overboost codes when I would do that.

Remember that PVC and silicone contraption I put together for the intake? Seems that was the reason for the overboost codes - Twas leaking boost, might have even been the cause of that random power loss issue I was dealing with for months! Turns out, the PVC was actually softening from the heat and compressing under the pressure of the hose clamps, and then (b/c it kept popping the hoses for reasons I did not understand then) it did it again with T-bar clamps.

So I finally had enough and got the factory replacement for that hose. Seems like a lot of the problems have vanished since then.

Idle number seems about right. Rated peak on this engine is around 23,000psi. If you hold WOT with a load I would expect it to hit that number within a few seconds.

geordi,
sure I remember seeing them..
interesting.
after my wife and I got back from CO I remove the homemade CCV trap..
and then the pinball machine went away...:)
the pinball machine as my wife called it..was random beeps and lights..and I do mean random.
pick a dash light and it might come on..even the security LED..this one was the most fun :)..her jeep doesn't have the security system...

this make me wonder how well the overall diagnostic system was thought out and tested. its my opinion not very well. don't get me wrong here..these system are very complex with lots of possible problems.I just think there are more situations they should have tried and proven before release.

ok lets look at these two cases
leaking pipe from the turbo..what should have caught this..max turbo boost( VGT at max) but not reaching expected boost compare to throttle??
my case...high crank case pressure? do we have such a sensor?..but random light and beeps without codes?? to me this is a lack of engineering..

also please understand..I really like this engine..its got some issues besure..but I if I was to repower my 1500 series dodge. it would either be this engine( or a larger version) or a Cummins 4bt engine..NOT THE 5.2L gas that it got now..sorry I have diesel addiction/afliction ;)
