6 months of mowing lawns, 54 babysitting hours, and $707....

As the title says, Ive been saving up for a little over 6 months to purchase a lift. Im 16, but i work hard and dont have things handed to me like many of my friends, so for me this was a monumental accomplishment. Anyways i just finished putting it all on, and i now understand why i was quoted $700 for install at a shop. Thank you all SOO much for all the helpful info, i couldnt have done it without yall getting after me. And ive driven it for about 2 hours and i can tell a HUGE difference. Im glad i did it right the first time! :pepper:

Here yall go:

OME 927/948 Springs
Rancho Front and Rear Shocks
1 upper iso per side
JBA 1/4 Strut plate
3 ring clevis

By the way, when everyone says getting the clevis back on is teh ahrdest part, they werent playing. I spent a good 2 hours with a ratchet strap to get them on.

They most definitely do. They make sure you don't rip off your fender flares.

But it took you 2 hours to get the clevis back on???
I got mine back on in like 5 minutes with the ratchet strap!

My OME springs & shocks are due to arrive any day now, but I didn't give any thought to bumpstops. Do I really need them without the extra isos, top plate, & clevis lift?

TJB2003KJ- My thought process was that hockey pucks are $1.50 each, and teraflexs shipped from JBA are $43. So i spent the extra $50 just to be on the safe side- I dont know if i atually need them, but better safe then sorry

Budke- One side took about 10 minutes, the other side took just under 2 hours. We changed the position of the ratchet strap and used a hammer and it just wouldn't go in. Eventually i got a big Craftsman screwdriver and used it as a lever with the ratchet strap and it snapped up.

You will need them, I did not use them for a while and the fenders kept popping part way off. Put in some hockey pucks and it has never happened again.

I used construction adhesive.I thought I may of made a mistake when I needed to take them out when I changed my lift from rustys to ome. But I used a screwdriver and tapped them with a hammer and they popped right off. And I have never had a problem with them coming loose.

So they have adhesive holding them together and then adhesive holding them to the bottom of rear suspension? Just ordered my lift and am making sure I know what I am doing.

Yes, a lot members are bolting them on but adhesive worked great for me. They have survived some crazy trails.

I bolted it on, and it was tough to get the bolt up under the spring perch. I kinda wish i had just used adhesive

Note: I don't have my rear bumpstops in yet, trust me you need them.

I was going to use adhesive as well, because I didn't feel like taking apart the rear end.
But, now I want to add another rear upper isolater, so I am going to bolt it in.
I have put two other rear bumpstops in on two other trucks, and the drilling is easy, as long as you go sloooooooooooowwww. Getting the bolt in is easy too.

Do what ever you want/easier for you. I think both are sufficient. Just check you didn't lose them before you go offroad, lol.
