Does anyone know where exactly the uConnect Module is? I had most of the dash area apart but couldn't find it.

And before the question comes up, YES I have uConnect

Mike,

Sorry, I'm not certain where the uConnect module is, although I thought I remembered seeing something about it being back behind and to the driver's side of the radio area but I could be wrong.

I couldn't quickly find anything to pinpoint it, but maybe this connector location diagram will help:

Hope this helps.

Do you have a factory Sub?
If so, then it should be located in the right corner, back by the Sub.

If you do not have the Sub, then it is connected to the back of the radio harness. There should be a "Y" connector in there some where. The wire that came with mine was about 3' long. So if it was installed "factory" It should be under the dash. Sorry I don't have a Pic of it.

I do have the factory sub. I bought the iPod cable and wanted to connect it. From the looks of the wiring diagram it needs to be connected to the uConnect module. The cable is only 12" long so I don't think it's going to go in the trunk. Does anyone know where to connect the cable?

Plug cable "A" right into the back of the radio. It will only fit in one spot.

Negative. The back of my radio looks like the picture, there are only 3 places to plug something in. Two are used and the cable won't fit in the third spot. If you look at that diagram it's not plugged into the radio.

There are several cable options available for the I-Pod.

Probably your best bet is to talk to your dealer and find out which cable is designed for integration with your particular system. I was able to find 6 different cables available, depending on your head unit and other options.

The one you have is designed to be used with the non-factory installed U-connect module.
I did read on another forum that the cable you have can be plugged directly into the center plug on the radio. However they did not say if they had the factory U-connect module, or which radio they had.
If you are willing to play a little you could try unplugging the cable that is in there and try your new cable. Again, it may not fit, because it is designed for integration with the u-connect module. If it does fit, you may find that your u-connect will not work, while it is plugged in.
I don't even know if it will work that way, or if it will mess things up BIG TIME!
Sorry I couldn't find more info for you...

well if it is a dealer installed u connect it can be found by removing the glove box it is to the right the ipod connecter plugs right in there tie the wire along the harness and it drops it right in the glove box. i did the uconnect install wed last week in mine. note you dont need a dealer activate the i pod but the uconnect does if you buy one not hard to install but you will need to hagle with the dealer give you a cheaper rate to turn it on. tell me if it is not there i have access to the info if you do not find it.

If you have the Infinity with the sub-woofer, it is located in the same place as the sub-woofer behind the right rear trim panel. Ask me how I know. :(
