Why take away the "Panties" section?

Not like we were fighting or anything. Some good discusion came out of there. Did BHO contact the Mods and threaten to audit or something? :ROTFL:

That section was only an experiment and it has run its course. It was discussed further by admins and mods and determined that some situations went too far and caused more issues than what is needed for a Jeep (mostly KJ) forum.

Experiment over. :dead:

the section was made because 1 memeber couldn't be nice anyway and it ended up only like 3 people went there so it was kind of a waste of space.

It takes us back to being a Jeep discussion site only which is what it always has been and should always be.
Like mentioned above it was an experiment only

There are a great number of other forums to discuss politics / religion

The only thing we preach here is Jeep :wink:

There are other things. It's a shame we can't be open minded enough to be able to talk about important issues facing each and everyone of us about our country, etc. I guess the next time BHO closes a trail because of some long LOST desert rat that got on some list, we can still talk about that. God forbid we go to war, or there's another storm that wipes somebody out, or gas prices go to $10 a gallon. We're screwed then.

Can we discuss Pro Jeep Rallies or Petitions Here?
Or do we need to form a Delaware LLC Corporation first?

From what I understand, if it has the word Jeep in in, it is fair game. :BANANA:

It sucks because now we have to learn to be all civilized again. Put the seat down after going #1 ect........

I think Tom was a little off on his statement. You can discuss non-Jeep related things in this section. It does say no politics or religion. That applies to non-Jeep related controversial topics.

Find another forum for those things. This forum is meant to be positive and family friendly. :JEEPIN:

Maybe a little off but first and foremost this is a Jeep site and mainly Jeep "related " topics. Of course you can discuss other things as long as its normal conversations

I enjoyed the conversations and debates in the PANTY WAD section. I’ll miss the topics of discussion, conversations, and everyone who participated.

The point of this is that it was an experiment. IMO it was generally well behaved. HOWEVER. Complaints from a huge number of people about the section were received constantly since its inception. So experiment over. Carry on the discussions via PM. or offline.

You made a very good point….. Those who have been complaining were warned to stay out of that section. It’s very simple……….. If you can’t handle it, then stay out. :banghead:

There was AMPLE warning not to enter and what the subject matter would be. Yet people who got their panties in a wad kept coming in regularly and getting them wadded, then cryin' to momma mod. And the mods could not figure out that their doing so was an organized attempt (succesful) to shut down what they did not agree with politically. Seeing the leanings of most of the mods who contributed or are un-mod like in getting personal and overly involved, it is no shock that the whiners found a sympathetic ear or were actually just the excuses being used.

Censorship is all well and good in a private forum: being to chicken to call it what it is is disappointing, though. I am sure ANY research into the leaning of the biggest whiners would make this abundantly clear.

If hundreds of gasser drivers complained daily about CRD'ers, would their section be removed? KJ vs. KK? of course not. That is some compelling evidence about the "symapthetic ear" theory.

All in all, not that big of deal, though. Mods with axes to grind are nothing new here or anywhere.

Why take away the "Panties" section?
