Hi,
I have just bought a set of Mastercraft 245/75 R 16. yet I was going to but some Kuhmo 225/75R16 but when I went to the tyre shop and had a play around I ended up you these:

Funny thing I drove back over 100 miles, tested them if the rubbed any where and nothing (I did flex the front suspention to it's full before buying them to make sure they didn't rub!!) , they clear the the Pinc weld by a couple of MM and don't rub against the front bumper. In the back well up to now I haven't heard any scarping noises...

Reading on all the post I got the impression I couldn't fit any 245/75R16 without a lift (even a Daystar one 1.5 inc) or maybe spacers!? I still have the original suspention (ONLY FOR NOW)!? I am just lucky? Suspention has done over 73.5K miles now!!! :?

My first impression of them are very good , not best for road holding they are MT after all and you do get thay nice HUMMM all the way, but I really like them. Tomorrow if I get a chance I will go offraod to test them. Also looks like the speedo has adjusted it self to read correctly at least against my GPS (it's a Garmin Zumo - dail reads 70MHR on both now!!).

I haven't yet measured the tyres diameter, but I would expect it to be at least a 30.5inc.

Still I will be intalling a OME lift as soon as I can, but for now it looks like I might have a little bit of space and some fun to be had.

IMHO you dont need a lift to fit 245/75's, however you will need to pound that pinchweld, its looking very very close to me.

Before I put my lift on I did about 25 million measuments to see what size tire I could fit without rubbing. I too could have fit 245/75's but I got a killer deal on the daystar lift and some money free'd up so I jumped on the lift.

In the future I plan on going 285/75's or if I get a good deal on rims 33/10.50's that will be fun to fit. :JEEPIN:
