Any one have suggestions for a mud terrain tire for a stock height CRD. I am in rural Alaska and most driving is off road so I am wanting a mud terrain tire.

Generally a 245/70/16 will fit on any Liberty with minimal or no rubbing

a couple of CRD's new fit 255/70's - but the springs would be a bit more worn now - so the 245's are a safer bet

(note there's always the caveat - what rubs is the tread width - the numbers quoted are section width - 2 different measurements - few manufacturers quote a tread width because it depends on the pattern)

(Note 2 - a good set of OME springs will help with the clearance and the ride... :) )

you will probably have to look at a 225/75R16 which works out to be the same od as 245/70R16 which fits unlifted

bfg, cooper make mud terrains that size

nokian m/t. pricey but excellent in winter. off-brand dakota m/t's are also good in winter and off road
