best street tires?

hi all,
going to get some new (up) size tires in a month or so and i'd like opinions on the best brand/tread style for regular street and highway travel. i don't off road (yet) but the stock Wranglers on my 2008 Liberty Sport have over 70k on them so they were pretty good tires but they are not good in the rain (anymore at least). i hydroplane like none other plus it will be snowing in Kansas this year i'm sure, LOL. i'd like some more aggressive looking tires and i'm going to go with 265/70r16's with my 2" lift....any suggestions on tires that fit my quest?

Look at Destination ATs from Firestone for a good all around street tire, quiet, wears good and gets good traction, I ran them one winter back in 04.
If you want more of a open tread design for both on and off road, several are starting to make tires like the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs
These are rated for snow and do great all around. I ran BFG ATs in 08, in 09 went to these and there was no comparison in snow. Also good on wet roads and mud

the recommendations i have so far:

Mastercraft Courser A/T 2
Cooper Discoverer ATR
BF Goodrich Radial Long Trail T/A
General Grabber A/T 2
and now the Firestone Destination A/T

would love feedback from the experienced guys/gals for the best!

The best tire for you by far would be the General Grabber HTS. If you seriously think you will spend a little time in the dirt/rocks/mud...go for the Firestone Destination AT.
