I hate chrome! So, I just removed all my emblems....easier than painting and looks clean.

First, you'll probably want to remove them and reattach them. Not sure if you'll get a good paint adhesion and coverage with it attached.

Second, should probably be pretty simple and create a nice effect. Sand it, primer it, and go to town with a few coats of any decent enamel such as Rustoleum or Duplicolor, then clearcoat a few layers with a little wetsanding in between and you'll probably be very happy with the results.

Took all the flaky badges off, didn't feel painting would last too long so I replaced them with custom decals.

jslibby how long have you had it painted for and how well is it lasting. I think it looks good like that i already painted my fenders and bumper black.

when i took those picture it had already been a year. i used left over enamel paint from when i painted my rims (which i did primer, paint, clear) just do a good job taping and i use news paper to make sure no overspray gets on the doors and hood. Oh and wait a good while before removing tape I recomend using a tweezer to get the small bit out. but thats all pretty straight forward.

P.S what color is your jeep. I was going to try and ghost mine but my car is red and matt black so i keep the theme goin.
but i was planing to paint the with the paint i used to smoke out my lights. Just a thought
I havent done it nor seen it done so i dont know if it works

mine is the light blue with no chrome except the emblems. so i thought it would look good just black and blue. what kind of paint did you use to do your lights and is it hard to do.
