Just mounted! Had to hammer the pinch weld and heat/reshape the front of the fender, but no rubbing on normal driving. Im sure if a few bumps are thrown in while turning, Im going to get some rubbing because there is ZERO room when turning sharp!

Looks Awesome! 8) I'm planning on getting the Generals too; how you like them so far?

Just wondering what was the backspacing on those rims are, and also have you had any rubbing under hard driving conditions?

16x8 w/5" backspacing. just put them on, so no hard driving conditions yet. i have gone over some nasty speed bumps and nothing....but thats going straight! if im going to have issues it is going to be when its bumpy and im turning

do you think 5/8 or 1" wheel spacer would work on stock rims with 245 70 16 or would it rub to much? or do you think it would work if i did a 1/2 or 1" clevis lift

You are going to need to modify the fender and hammer the pinch weld if you use spacers unlifted. These rims stick out 1 1/2" more than the stock rims did and I "moved" a lot of stuff to make them fit. Im unlifted so dont know much about the lift questions.....sorry.

Me likey..... :SOMBRERO:

I'm lifted 2.5", have 1.5" wheel spacers on stock Renegade rims, plus I cut & trimmed my front bumper, and pounded the pinch welds. Plan to go with 265/70-16's.

I know the General Grabber AT2's have their detractors on this site and over at KJ Country, but I like them, know several Jeep owners running them who love the tire. They're a good balanced design working well on all surfaces and conditions including snow and pack ice, sand, and trails. May not be the best choice for mud or rocks, but I rarely get into mud, and there's no rocks where I live, so those conditions really don't factor in for me.....

I've been doing a lot of tire shopping in the past dew days, and pound for pound, dollar for dollar the General Grabber AT2 keeps coming back as the best choice for me, so I just might be posting a photo of my '05 Renegade sitting on a set of 265/70's in the next few weeks.....

So far I love them! I have about 6k on them and no problems. They still look new. A friend of mine has the same tire with 27k on them and they look new also! Rotating regularly will make them last! I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
