It is all about tires. Going from stock to winter tires is night and day. My Liberty is an absolute monster in the snow and ice with my Blizzak snow tires, I love them.

Even my first set of tires, Cooper CTS all season tires were really good in snow, as opposed to the crap goodyears than came on it when I bought it, which had me white knuckling down the road in my first snowstorm with them on. The next day I bought the coopers, and then last year I got the snows when I lifted it.

If you get tires that are fairly high rating for snow, the liberty will shine in the foul weather.

one you can leave in 24-7 regardless of the conditions, the other will keep you pointed in the correct direction fractionally better

That being said, it's like boinkin' your sister...just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

You live in friggin Florida......it never gets cold down there.....

I'll like winter and snow a whole lot more after I retire....driving Fire Apparatus in snow is not fun, especially in a city with limited snow removal equipment.....

When my only worry will be clearing a path from the front deck to the curb so we get mail delivery, then I won't mind the snow, as for the cold....that part I don't mind at all.....

I used to tell people that it got cold in north Florida, I'd even use a camping trip in February in which it got down to 18* as an example. Then I hiked part of the Grand Canyon in December... in a snow storm... which made even the worst Florida winter feel like spring.

Man, oh man, am I ready for winter... It's 106* right now. Last night, at midnight, it was still in the mid-90s on my back porch.
