So, ever since I painted my wheels, I have really wanted to take care of the rusting calipers behind them. I wanted to wait, though, until I needed to change the pads and rotors which I knew would need to be done soon. This weekend I was able to take care of everything. Here are the pics...

Out with the old..

Prepped, taped and painted (after doing the underside)...

In with the new...

Some might not think it matters much, but I think the little things make the big difference.

Thanks! I picked silver because I wanted them to compliment the new wheel color, my paint is silver, and I wanted them to look nice, but not stick out too much. Kinda stock looking.

Hoe'd ya get the nice ring around the brake rotor? I normally just over spray then sand it off, usually looks like crap...or just let the brake pads take off the excess.... :jester: :jester:

I really like the look of your wheels! They look great painted.

You are going to have to be super extra careful when you do make it to URE. Don't scratch them!

I'm the man when it comes to using painters tape.lol

I run a 1/4" strip of tape around the two edges and then apply the thicker stuff on the inside. So basically, I tape the braking surface off and paint everything else. Makes the job quick and clean.

Thanks!

I have other wheels for the down and dirty off-roading. Not scared to use these either though. I can always just paint them again. :)
