Korny,if you followed Boiler's progress you would see that most of his products are still prototypes with the big-ticket items having sold maybe two or three copies. ( I think he recently posted he has sold 3 rear bumpers?) The vast majority of his sales appear to be exact copies of other companies products and kinda "shareware" designs made in aluminum instead of steel that he can run off and turn over quickly. Hey, it worked for Japan for decades and China seems to be doing well with that "business model."

I think you hit the nail on the head about business: if he doesn't want to run a business, it probably won't be worth it. He said he isn't a business...

If you read the back pedaling and how much explanation he put into explaining his own post, you would see that sweating his posts is not worth the effort for you, IMHO. He is not your target audience audience. Good luck with the site.

BTW: a "sign" is a metaphor about advertising. While extremely locale-limited operations can get by without it, I don't see many net-based businesses surviving without it. All-J's appears to have worked this whole site up as an advertising vehicle.

How does one go about revolutionizing a roof rack or strut mounts.

Why not offer up some ideas and be constructive? Your right IC these ideas and designs are shareware, they are for a reason. To overdesign somthing to the point that would be considered different my decrease the utilitarian aspect of said item.

IC is it your hobby to follow me around the net, and exaggerating & interpreting things about me? Your libelous claims have little merit & are just an attempt to assassinate my character and business and for what? Because I said that political and religous discussion was not good for LOST.

I'm tired of being harassed by you, I don't deserve it, and I've done nothing but the best I can for my customers.

IC, what is the problem with making a product out aluminum instead of steel? What is wrong with making products on the side, but not as a career? What is the problem with having several items that are only in the prototype stage? At least he is still working on items for the KJ. Other companies are slowly discontinuing products as the KJ gets older. Honestly, why do you care? Why do you shadow his online keystrokes? I wouldn't think you would care if he has a problem with JKJC since you posted a link yesterday about the new splinter site that started when JKJC came under new ownership.

Korny, who I am guessing is JKJC's new owner, seems concerned about Boiler's post damaging the site. I explained why he has nothing to worry about. Pointing out a new site has nothing to do with the other, either. Here we are all openly discussing a site other than LOST? Lawsa me, it must be a conspiracy... :ROTFL:

Selling products copied from other people's designs, and not all of them are switching from steel to aluminum, is probably slightly worse than an ambigious "libel" claim. What do people say about RRO for this practice, for example? and were does the work ethic of the fabricator, as slf-posted, enter into the image of "savior of the KJ?" Despite some having a history of "wising up" and redacting posts, i have saved screen shots to support my position...

thankfully I do not have to go around the net fighting battles for buddies or state-mates.
