Looking at these tires. Keep in mind I really don't do much wheeling anymore, but I don't want a minivan tire.
All will be in a 245/75R16 which I currently have in the BFG AT

Toyo Open Country AT
Wrangler Silent Armour
Wrangler Duratrac 4-ply (maybe too heavy like my BFG's)

Looking for some opinions top help push me over the fence.

Thanks for your help

I like my dura tracs but they do get a little noisy after about 30k I don't foresee them lasting any longer than about 45k. I think BFG's are alot better wearing tire. Mine have been rotated every 4k also.

I'm still trying to confirm, but the Silent Armors in load range C are being/ have been discontinued (load range C is recommended unless you have or plan on regearing). That may impact your choice, it did for me. I just ordered the duratracs!

Out of those choices, Toyo.

But you should get Firestones. They rock.

I like my Toyos... other than they suck in wet grass, but good all around other than that.

I would have to say that of all of those I had the Silent armours on when I got my jeep and not much bite in the rain but they were 80% worn. I got a full set of Hercules Terra Trac AT had them since last November before the first snow. Rotate them every 6k and they are wearing good. handle fine off road, good in the snow and rain. they ride better and are qieter that the good years were. they were not super expensive either.

Any Cooper tire wore out my first set of BFGs and haven't bought anything since. I now am running E load rated Cooper S/T they have a nice humm but at about 50 can barely here them. Roll the windows up and you can't here them at all. Plus last set wore like they were made of pure iron and that was on a long bed 4 door diesel F-350 and it towed atleast 4 times a week. Loved these tire and they excelled in everything.
