Since my CRD was new I would get between 20 and 25 mpg mostly closer to 20. Around 80k 25 mpg was the norm. Now at 95,000 miles it seems to do much better, 27 to 31 MPG's while driving through the mountains. We were stuck in a traffic jam creeping along for 2 hours still manged 27!

And here I sit at a measly 36k...

I think that what you are seeing is nornal for me. Seems the longer the trip the better the fuel economy is. Right after I got mine I took it camping in west virgina. THats about 6 hours from home. I ended up getting about 29 MPG. EVIC was reporting 30-31 in some places. my Friend that was riding with me was upset about that cus his Silverado only get 17-19 highway and I can get that around town if I drive it hard. on shorter trips I have seen 25-27 regularly. I only had 38k when I got it and now 52K

I have no tune yet either.

Last month I drove from Jacksonville FL to Oak Ridge TN, 580 miles, and not one stop for fuel.

I am usually around 22 mpg, but I am either in traffic or pulling my boat. Sometimes both!

My CRD only has 60,000 on her. My TDI Jetta has 145,000. I definitely noticed better and better mileage as the engine got older.

34 MPG with my Experimental TCM and InMotion Stage 2 Tune when I drove back from Evansville,IN to Aurora, IL and had lots and lots of Cops. In Michigan where they try to pass up the jets flying over head, I got 23MPG driving 70-85MPH, yup I was the slow poke. I will check it again on my way to Cedar Rapids, IA tomorrow.
