i work for chrysler`s at the mini-van plant for 20 years now and this non-sense has been going on ever since i started, people will go out for a liquid lunch and wont come back to work, they drink in the parking lot at break times, some even show up drunk for the start of shift...7 in the morning, many sleep on the job, both the company and the union have been aware of this behavior for many years and choose to do nothing. The plant and union i am a member of is in canada and i cant comment on a american plant or an american union but i cant see anything changing.

I hope am wrong and yes it is very sad!
