I was rolling up the back window on the passenger side and heard a loud clunk as it went up. Now the window won't roll up and that door won't open. My liberty has 72k on the odometer. Do the windows fall of the tracks or the motors go bad around this mileage? Anyone else have a similar problem.

Thanks. Look like this happens to everyone. Third day of ownership and this happens. Any other potential gremlins that are likely to come knocking.

That seems to be the most common problem. Did you find the stieger kit fix for your regulator? Over all they are great jeeps I have a lot of miles on mine now(175,000 miles) and off road it regularly and it still runs like a new one. (and I am one of the lucky ones still have all the original regulators) Knock on wood.

Thankfully I have a 30 day warranty and this will be covered. I guess the current fix is to replace the entire window system. Glad to hear this is the only major hiccup with the Liberty. I have really enjoyed it the short time I have owned it.

I am also a new Jeep owner and loving it. My drivers side rear window regulator popped on me Saturday afternoon. Just 3 weeks into Jeep ownership. 2007 with 35K on it. The dealer will fix mine even though my 3/36 ran out 9/25/10. I called the Jeep customer service number (by the dealers request) to register a complaint. While I was on the phone this morning with Jeep I could hear the other Jeep customer service rep in the background discussing the same regulator issue with another Jeep owner. My dealer said that there is such a massive, nationwide, issue that a recall is sure to come out soon. Speculation, so we will see.

1 800 992-1997 is the Jeep number. Call to register a complaint just incase a recall hits. They will ask you for the last 8 digits of your VIN and give you a ref# for your complaint.

Window Regulators and Blower motor resistors.
