I recently had to change the gauge cluster on my 2003 Liberty. I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a way to change the odometer to the correct mileage. If there is not a way my Jeep is pretty well worthless because it just lost 100,000 miles and my state records mileage on each state inspection so there is record of it having higher miles.

Sorry but your out of luck with changing the ODO,the dealership maybe able to but they will need to send it off to Chrysler so it could take weeks to get back. You should be able to get the proper paperwork from the dealer to make it legal, you will need proof of old mileage and current mileage from the donor vehicle though.

Soooo, you're saying the only record of mileage is from the gauge cluster.. there's no record in any other computer in the Jeep?

Correct. On Jeeps, the data is stored in the cluster, not on the ECU. It sucks, huh?
