I thought I would post this since I know a lot of you are looking for other ways to mount front fog lights. I recently had an encounter with some black ice and was in need of a new front bumper, grill and hood. I figured this was as good a time as any to get fogs placed on my front bumper.
I am having an auto body shop here do the work for me. they found a very cool way of mounting the lights for me. I am going this afternoon to take pics.
I will be posting pics later tonight to give you a better idea of what I am talking about.
Basically with the front grill and plastic insert removed they mounted pieces of stainless flat bar to some trim on the bottom of the grill area.
To this they are going to weld another piece of flat bar sticking out of one of the slats in the grill. this flat bar has a hole to mount the light to.
Pics of this to come soon.
Here is a close up of the bracket.
The only thing that needs to be cut is the bottom of the black plastic piece behind the grill.
