Lines are supposed to be 3/8", they sure look like it.

Thanks a bunch. I just developed this issue with my tranny and I will probably be unemployed in January and want to spend as little $$$ as possible before I consider buying a new front pump and a torque convertor.

It is pointing to the rear of the vehicle. The lines are 3/8 OD.

Make sure you have some teflon tape to screw the fittings into the check valve.

And guys make double sure that there is no way the valve will rub the other line or it will rub a hole even if it doesn't touch sitting still, when it is moving it might. That leads to a wah wah wah (my best guess at spelling that bad news you lose sound) leave you stranded moment.

Thanks for the kind wishes. When I get laid off, I'll be the third of four siblings that are unemployed. It won't be hard to find work in my field but it'll probably require me to move. Selling the house will be an issue and I can't afford to take a loss.

How did you cut the line? I can't get my tubing cutter in there.

I had to separate them at that plastic connector first, then I used a midget tubing cutter. You will need to pry them apart to get enough clearance to swing the cutter. Or you could just use a hack saw?

I will have to get me one of those midget tubing cutters. Hacksaws leave little metal chips behind. Not sure it would be a good idea in an automatic transmission.

That line goes to the spin on filter inside of the tranny any ways, all chips would be caught in there.
