Finally lifted

unfortunately, I drove up there, took 2 pictures then my camera batteries died :roll:

springs are OME 790 & 948, shocks are OME NS131 & N132L with 1/4" top plate in front and 1 extra iso in the rear.
Tires are 245/75/16 Duratracs

make sure you don't go to low with your Duratrac !....Torn one off and one other flat this week end at the Raid Bleu...

Are your tires (245-75R16) touching inside while turning full left or right ?...

It rubs on the drivers side on the bottom lip of the bumper when reversing at full lock turned right. other than that, no issues

Really? You didn't have to pound the pinch welds? (I'm guessing things might be a little different under suspension articulation, yes?)

Good to know what my 2005 silver CRD limited will look like when I put on duratracs and and OME lift

Although i may forgo the extra spacers, we'll see...

every jeep is different. some need the pinch welds pounded and other dont. i ran 32's on my kj with some rubbing when i made turns. i trimmed just a piece of plastic on each side of the bottom lip on the front bumper. which helped ALOT but the tires still rubbed abit.

Shocks, springs, top plates, and rear iso's: $813.22 + $73.62 shipping from Jeepin By Al
5 Tires: $764.95 + $70.76 tax picked up from local 4 Wheel Parts store
Mounting, balancing and alignment: $247.16 at local Wheel Works

Total spent: $1969.71 and worth every penny

I was worried that I'd have to, but after getting the tires on, I don't think they will rub on them. Though I will keep an eye on it as the suspension settles. I haven't even trimmed my bumper yet, just being careful to not turn at full lock.

Now you talking! I got the same Jeep fully loaded and I got the same piece of crap step rail you remove! Since US money drop big time this week I decide to order some stuff from your side of the fence and a lift kit is on my list...Was checking for a complete Rockfather kit but you give me another option! Assembling my own picking parts! But you use 1.5 lift spring I prefer 2" one if avalable for the KJ.

This is exactly the look I whant for my CRD using tire just a bit under 32", I'm just not set yet since I will buy 4 MR-1 Mamba wheels (Rubicon copy) with LT245/75/16 next spring and use my 5 original wheels with 215/85/16 studded winter tires.

Ho I almost forgot! Kick A.$.$ looking lift! I realy like it! :wink:

I learn a bit more about lift kit for my CRD, I got some help from Tom in PM and read a lot... I know what I need, 2" spring kit are for the KK , all KJ OME spring kit are 1,5" , to get more lift you have to add Isolator clevis mod and plate, this way you get lets say 2" to 2,5" total + 1/2" from the 245/75/16. Now I'm set and I whant exactly the same lift you have done, I only need the parts number for the Iso and plate you use.

I want exactly the same setup you done! Did you bought the JBA $750 kit (OME-KJ-1.5) and add isolator and plate are just assembling the kit from scratch yourself?

Total cost =$889.69 (All price corrected after KaspinCRD answer me in his next post)

Cost a bit less taking the kit instead of scratch build one ($853.20)

Yes, I ordered the $750 "kit", with the option of the longer shocks in the rear for $10 extra (check the drop down boxes). the "kit" is just bare springs and shocks that you need to assemble using the hardware off your old stuff.

On your list, the front shocks are $151.55 each, so x2 on those. Rear long travel shocks are $175.99 for both from All J's (you'll get them from All J's even if you order through jeepin by al, as they're the only distributor in the US with the long travel shocks)

Beautiful KJ! Congrats on the lift and tires!

I'm running the same tires in a C rating. Only about 400 miles on them, but these C-rated tires offer a much plusher ride than the E-rated Generals I used before. Can't wait to get these tires muddy. Just trying to round out my skid plate collection. I want some kind of protection down below.
