If you ever thought you bought the lesser powerful liberty by going with the diesel (160hp deisel vs. 210hp gas) I have a nice story for you. I was talking to a guy a couple of weeks ago who had a gas liberty, and he was saying the reason he bought the gas liberty was for more power. A couple days ago I was going up a pass near here that is fairly steep and about 7 miles long. I was going about 80 mph and looked over and was passing the guy who I had talked to. He steps on it to show me how much power he had, so I gave er de onion and just blew by him. I pulled away from him like crazy. Then I slowed down so we were side by side. He gave me the thumbs up. We then got into town, I pulled into a gas station, he followed. He then told me that he was floored when I passed him and could not believe the power of the crd. Three days later I see him driving a crd. Take it easy E

People are always buying HP even though they are driving torque. Like your friend who didn't understand that at 1800 rpm you had 300 flb's of torque to pull the load and all 160 hp, while at 3000 rpm your friend only has about half of his hp & torque available, and that's why you walked off and left him.

Yeah I love that too. You go down the Highway 60-65mph and if you want to pass someone you dont even shift down, you just ease on the gas and pass everyone easily.

My buddy with the new F-150 wasn't to pleased when I ran away from him pulling our boats over the Cascade Mts. Was even less happy when comparing fuel costs at the pump.

My buddy got the 2500 Dodge with the 6 Cylinder 5.9Liter Cummins Diesel, now that thing is FAST and got torque. He got a bully dog programmer, exhaust and intake. That is one of the fastest vehicles I've ever been in. He easily smokes GT's without even leaving Overdrive. If y'all want a powerful Diesel, get that!

Well if your really want a treat try driving this: 06 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro TDi DSG, that is way too much fun for any one person to have. You should feel it pull at 150mph on the autobahn.

That's my primary vehicle......368.4 Horsepower and 718.0 pound-feet of Torque at the rear wheels.....nice big grins on hills around my neck of the woods. I'll never own another full size pickup with spark plugs.
