I need some help and advise here.. bestbuy is listing this kit for buy one get one free for this avital 4111 kit. Seems simple enough and i don't need anything but just start the jeep up. Does anyone know if these will work ok in our jeeps? The things i dont want are to have to give up a key, and some people are mentioning some sort of bypass needed? Not sure if that is the other option if you dont want to give a key up. Anyway, need some help as i dont have a clue when it comes to this stuff.

Thanks!

-Nick

Apparently the dealer needs to do the setup on the KKs. I saw it on justforjeeps.com on the KK mopar kit when buying mine. As for the mopar kit I would recommend that over an aftermarket kit but then again thats my opinion. My mom has has a few aftermarket kits and everyone seems to cause some sort of issue.

interesting.. i didn't even know they sold that! Did you purchase the kit for your jeep? I would be interested to know how much a dealer would charge you for key programming?

That alone will not start most modern day vehicles... you will need additional parts. If you've never installed a remote start before, I'm not sure that you want your ride to be the first project.

If your talking about the avital, yes. I've found that out by asking what it all takes to isntall it at the local best buy. Its turns out to be about another $200 worth of stuff you have to buy in addition to the starter kit to make it work. At this point i may look at the mopar one, the jeep still has factory warranty and i don't want to void that. Thanks
