Like the topic says, when you turn esp off it still kicks in. Is there some sort of ratio? It really makes it difficult to play in the snow!

Yeah, there's two modes really. I read up on it in the user manual. Here in an excerpt from the 2010 manual:

Full Off — Four-Wheel Drive Vehicles in 4WD High
and 4WD Low Range
The “Full Off” mode is intended for off-highway and
off-road use when ESP stability features could inhibit
vehicle maneuverability due to trail conditions.
The “ESP OFF” button is located in the lower switch bank
below the climate control panel. To enter “Full Off”
mode, press and hold the “ESP OFF” button for five
seconds while the vehicle is stopped with the engine
running. After five seconds, the “ESP/TCS Indicator
Light” will illuminate and an “ESP OFF” message will
appear in the odometer. Press and release the trip odometer
button located on the instrument cluster to turn off
this message.
In this mode, ESP and TCS are turned off (except for the
“limited slip” feature described in the TCS section) until
the vehicle reaches a speed of 40 mph (64 km/k). At
speeds over 40 mph (64 km/k), the system automatically
switches to “Partial Off” mode, described above. When
the vehicle speed returns to less than 35 mph (56 km/h),
the ESP system will return to “Full Off” mode. The
“ESP/TCS Indicator Light” is always illuminated when
ESP is off. To turn ESP on again, momentarily press the
“ESP OFF” button. This will restore the normal “ESP On”
mode of operation.

Otherwise when in 2wd the esp off button just raised the thresholds for how much slip is tolerated. I've tested it in 2wd and that seems to be the case. I want to test it in 4wd and see how it behaves. I will report back.

Heh, yeah i could do that but when its cold out and your all bundled up...I don't think ill mess with it.. It will just be more of a challenge. In my old jeep you could sit in an open space with a little constant throttle and be turning circles forever. It was a blast!

Hey thanks! I will have to look at that. I'm not sure i want to tackle that this year since the jeeps so new but its definitely something i may want to add down the road. I'm trying to keep my kk fairly stock at this point.
