About a month ago, while a few of us were headed to lunch, I stopped by the UPS store for one of my buddies to drop off a package. While 2 of us were sitting in my KJ in the parking lot, an old woman in a Caddy pulled in next to me and slammed her door open into a Line-X coated Super Skink. She got out, closed her door, and proceded to walk away even when we got out of the Jeep to check for damage. The huge dent in her door serves her right for being such an inconsiderate witch. Luckily it didn't even scratch the Super Skink.

I would say 7/10 times I go to a parking lot in my area I find someone leaning their door up against the kj loading something into or getting into their vehicle. None of them seem to care even if we make eye contact....

A collapsible baton isn't considered a weapon. Spray then give them a reminder. Haha, just kidding.

I would have to agree. On accident of course

Actually, collapsable batons are considered weapons, and in some states are illegal to posses unless you are in Law Enforcement. Just like handcuffs can be considered in the same way.

And in that sense an ink pen can be considered a weapon. I did mis-speak earlier so I will rephrase.

In AZ, collapsible batons are not considered weapons when carried & used in the manner intended. Meaning someone who knows &/or has been trained properly in its usr. Of course every situation is unique & would take a very long time to go through the different scenarios. Though I am no longer an LEO I still keep up on things like this but I forget sometimes that other states are way more restrictive.

yeah, collapsible batons are illegal in quite a few states, the 5-6" keychain style batons weren't illegal in NC but the collapsible ones were, pretty much anything you could hide would get you in trouble of course most of them are just more trouble than they're worth anyway, but the pressure point batons work quite well if ya know how to use them ;)

When I was up at Silver Lake in Michingan this summer for vacation my Jeep got vandalized. If you have ever been up there to the dunes its full of heavily modified 4x4's mostly driven by fan boys with a limited view of what should be allowed on the dunes. I pulled into the local gas station to get some ice, was inside for two maybe three minutes. I walked out to a small group of people looking at the jeep I'm thinking "cool, Liberty is getting some respect from the wrangler fan boys". Instead they were looking at the key job someone did on the whole passenger side of my jeep. I was pissed, but after talking with the insurance agent was able to diggerize my jeep. So...........thank-you I guess to the vandals :D

Right after I bought the Jeep, I was getting fuel at a station in a rather nasty place. I had to pull forward to get to the diesel pump. This put the Jeep fairly far forward, not leaving much room at the gas pump in front of it.

Some Joe Dirt reject in a Pontiac with a pointy nose decided to pull in to that forward pump. Apparently he was pissed that I was pulled too far forward for his tastes, so he decides to run the front of his POS into my front bumper. Then he stuck his head out the window and laughed.

So I give him the stare, which pissed him off even more. He comes flying out of the car puffing up his shoulders and yelling. I had the cell out and dialed the cops, other hand in my pocket on the .357. The Po-Po said they would not show up on private property for an accident. So I responded that he is threatening me and that I am armed and will defend myself. Within seconds of saying that, two police cars pull in to the station and they have the guy spread out on the ground. I talk to the police, tell them what happened, and they let me go. As I was pulling out they had a bag of weed on the hood of his Pontiac POS and he was in cuffs.

Last week at the Hospital parking garage. I'm sittng in my Jeep finishing a phone call before going up to visit my Dad. I park next to this older but not crappy ford f150 regular cab. Before I finish and get out this group of 5 rednecks walks up and starts piling in to the cab of the truck. as the last guy gets in after the girls are in the middle he opens the door as wide as he can, leans the door against mine and climbs in as if I wasnt there watching the scene.

I wind down my window and Say " Hey man you know your leaning your door on mine?" the jerk says " oh sorry can't help it its not easy to get in like this." So I tell him he should be more careful and consider others property because I dont think he would want me doing that to his vehicle. then I remind him they have more passangers than seatbelts and I could notify the police since some are minors. next he says I'm real sorry sir I don't want any trouble. I seen no damage so I told him to just go and be more careful in the future.

Holy crap, If you kept your cool while this was all happening, I'd be very impressed. What a jerk. Way to turn the tables on his aggression. Nicely done.

I returned to my Cj in a marina and noticed some tourist in not around IN both front seats with two people in the back standing over the roll bar posing for a photo. I had a bucket about a 1/4 full of oil I was removing from the docks. It sucked cleaning the oil from the interior. .....NOT...... Now she's strategically equipped with a cattle fence disarmed by the alarm. Yes it has a small sign that says high voltage. No it's not my responsibility if someone dies because of their stupidity but it's highly unlikley. I won't go into how many times things were stolen from this thing before. Gotta love foreign countries. In South Africa you can and they do install flame throwers under the doors to prevent or ELIMINATE car jacking. :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: It just works :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

But for me I consider collapsible baton as my weapon

I don't carry a collapsable baton. I find that a 6 d-cell Mag light has many more uses, and is easier to explain why you would have it with you. I also carry a Taurus 9mm and a rifle of some sort in the car. Granted at 240 lbs I don't don't get to many :furious: talkers either.

I did kick-in a guys brand new Ford Contour back in '96. I was sitting outside of my college dorms, when the driver went flying by at a high rate of speed. I remember saying, "That guy is going to kill someone." When I heard him taking the corner in a power slide, I remembered the Day-care at that corner. Then I heard the crash. I ran down (about a quarter-mile) to the scene of the accident. The driver was parked on the day-care lawn. He had swerved to miss a girl on a bike, clipped a parked truck, then ended up hitting the girl on the bike anyway.

A campus cop was already tending to the girl as the driver was busy inspecting the damage on his car when I got to the scene. I decided that it was my civic duty to explain to the foriegn born driver reasons for traffic laws in America. I also took the time to explain that although his family name might mean something in Saudi Arabia... Well I got a little too colorful here to share in a public forum. As I walked around the car explaining this all to him, I kicked in everything I could starting from the passenger door, fender, headlghts, grill, hood, etc. until I got to his driver's door which he was currently hiding behind.

That's when I realized that had already created about $7,000 worth of additional damage to the car, and didn't need to add assault to it. Given that the campus police officer was watching me up unto this point without saying or doing anything, I figured I better leave it at that. I walked away from the scene back to my dorm. When I got back I heard half of the dorm cheering me from the windows.

I never seen Haji on campus again.
