And to answer the previous question; yes I will hook anyone on LOST (even Stumpjumper) with a discount on anything they may be interested in on any sites that may be linked in my signature. It's one of the benefits of being in the same circles with me... it's a pretty big deal.

If the wheels were already stripped then probably if it's black... especially if it were a Friday when we run our "Black Friday" special. If the wheels are steel and need sandblasting and are 15" then maybe if the other conditions are met. If the wheels are aluminum, you really shouldn't sandblast because you can eff them up. We'd need to send them out to get soda blasted first. If you wanted another color, we'd probably need to order the powder and we probably couldn't do it on a Friday.
FYI... we can do safety pink right away thanks to Durangotang... we have that color in stock.

i have a smittybuilt 10k winch in my ARB and have used it many many times and it has never let me down (well once but that was because i plugged the controller in upside down :banghead: ) my dad has a ~10k warn powerplant on his rubicon and it has malfunctioned several times... and my smitty has not malfunctioned at all. has been exposed to the elements on my jeep (including winter salt daily) and still works great. also i have a red top battery and it's never hurt it even with long hard pulls... a yellow top would be better but the red works fine and it was free.

Most people either have a front hitch or have and ARB or other after market front bumper. I am going with and aftermarket front bumper with a hitch mounted winch. That way I can move it from front to back for multiple recovery angles and positions.

I mounted my china junk 12000LBS winch on the front. It has served me well, sounds like it is grinding rocks when running. Have used it alot pulling trees to the edge of the trail, pulling me off of ledges. For $300,wireless remote, snatch block, cover, wired controller, very happy with it.

Speaking of China I'm seriously considering trying this Rough Country 9.5K for $299 in my ARB:

Once I figure out a few details with solenoid control box mounting and cabling issues I'm pretty sure it's worth a shot...

Which winch to buy is one of those discussions that can go on forever...like who's better in bed, a blond or a redhead

If you can afford a Warn go for it. You'll never regret it.

If you buy a cheaper winch like one of those Chinese made ones you may need the warranty it comes with. Of course the warranty won't help you when you're in the deep woods with a broken winch :grim:

You're planning to fasten it to the rear hitch receiver? You'll need some long heavy gauge cables to power it.
