Time for the belt replacement I am just over 100,000 miles and want to get it done soon! I plan on using moparonlineparts.com since I have heard a few bad experiences with moparpartsamerica.com. I would have already ordered but I can't figure out how to to find out if they have the parts in stock or not! I emailed them with the part numbers a few days ago with out reply. Any other places to get parts from? Has anyone ordered from them, how long did it take to receive your parts? I plan replacing everything while it's apart as recommended by most.
Thanks

You best bet is to just wait it out, or give them a call. They will usually notify you if it will take an unreasonable amount of time to get parts.

FYI you can get both the serpentine belt and the timing belt from Gates, my bet is Mopar ones are just rebranded just like the Wix fuel filter, for a pretty reasonable price.
1. Gates serpentine belt Product ID 85528646 Part # K061130 Product Description K061130 MICRO-V BELT UPC 072053009767 - like $40 on Amazon (just ordered today for a shade under $33 with free shipping)
2. Gates timing belt Product #85950853 Part # T336 Description T336 TIMING BELT - like $70 on Amazon which is way cheap.

I've not installed either but I did double check the engine application on the Gates site to be sure these work on the 2.8L CRD 2005 & 2006 engines.

http://www.gates-online.com/GatesEU/el/ ... tivewebcat
I HOPE IT HELPS.
NOTICE:WHILE SELECTING MANUFACTURER AND THEN MODEL PRESS CHEROKEE AS LIBERTY NAMED IN EUROPE.

That is a heck of a lot cheaper for the timing belt, I would just be worried that It wouldn't be as good as OEM and I would have issues for about an $75 savings.

Has anyone else used anything but OEM timing belts?

Any part that is directly related to possible distruction of my entire engine is going to replaced with only Mopar original parts. External parts I might skimp on. Internal parts...no way.

have you ever seen the tensioner and the two idler pulleys of the timing?the mopar's are exactly the same (totaly, even the numbers) with ina-fag which are cheaper.also gates timing belt is perfect.
notice that the gates timing kit and the ina-fag timing kit p# are available.

Gates stuff is good. I would trust it. I replaced the timing belt in my wifes van with a gates. It's been good for 30k. The original was made in Slovokia or something like that.Gates was USA made. Not knocking the oe one, just replaced it because of water pump failure and I was in there already.

Just checked my local stores. O'reilly wants $152 for timing belt. NAPA wants $173. Water pump... NAPA doesn't even list it. O'reilly sells reman. pumps only, but they are much cheaper at $57 compared to $175 for a new one.

For the timing belt though... the Mopar is actually less money.

You need to check with them to see if they have any in stock. When I did mine they did not, and Cardone did not when they would be supplying any.
