I have a 07 liberty that I am having a little issue with on the tranny dip stick. I can't get the dang thing to stay in. I have done some searching and have found that the 07 shouldn't have had a dip stick at all but instead has to go to the dealer for all tranny related service. It seems as if the previous owner pulled the original plug and inserted a 06 or older dip stick possibly. The dip stick seems as if it is about an inch too long. For a temp fix, I ovaled the tube that it plugs into to hold the dip stick from springing back out. Does anyone have any ideas for what I can do for a solution? Is there a correct dip stick I can purchase or should I put the factory plug back in it?

Also, I am getting a little bit of shudder when the vehicle shifts into overdrive at low speeds. It only does it for maybe 2-3 seconds, but it is noticable. I am not getting any dummy lights on the dash or anything and it doesn't seem to slip. Does this seem like a torque converter?

Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions.

Shudder - low fluid? Not sure. Mine is smooth as silk 3rd to 4th.

It works perfect. I have also changed my filter and fluid, used the stick as a final gauge. Took it to the dealer to have them double check, spot on. :JEEPIN:
