Nah, I can manage without mortgaging my wife.

On serious note, with this little lift I won't need JBA upper control arms right?

They do help and would be good to put on the "wish list" for later but definitely not needed for a lift.

1 more question. Will my molded mud flaps be fine with a lift? Or will I have to take them off?

They should be fine, you may have to knock over the pinch weld depending on tire size you run but other wise you'll be OK

Tire size will be 245/70/17 and I am hoping to get away with no pinch weld pounding (too much salt around here, don't want it to start rusting :| )

I will be getting General Grabbers AT2 and using the factory 17inch wheels.

Thanks!

Was looking at prices and making a list, so I thought I would throw this up here in case anyone else is looking and wants an idea.

COILS
www.sierraexpeditions.com

Coils (927 and 948) $297.98 (All 4)

Shipping: $ 23.98
-----------------------------------
Total: $321.96

www.jeepinbyal.com

Coils (927 and 948) $317.40 (All 4)

Shipping: $ 18.45
------------------------------------
Total: $335.85

Shocks

www.allshocks.com

Bilstein Front shocks $179.90 (Both) (Stock)

Bilstein Back shocks $141.90 (Both) (02-04 Dakota Quad cab rear shocks)

Shipping: Free
-------------------------------------
Total: $321.80

www.shockwarehouse.com

Bilstein Front shocks $181.70 (Both) (Stock)

Bilstein Back shocks $136.28 (Both) (02-04 Dakota Quad cab rear shocks)

Shipping: Free
-------------------------------------
Total: $317.98

Cheapest would be going with www.sierraexpeditions.com for the springs and www.shockwarehouse.com for the shocks.

Total would be $639.94

Also, using the BDS lift, it would be roughly $20-$30 more.

All I want to say is that when I was poor (spending all my $ on alcohol in college) I managed to buy an OME/Ranco lift by piecing it together. So glad that I did and didnt get a dumb RK lift or Budget Boost. I have gotten numerous compliments on my lift/tires from auto mechanics and truck guys alike. It may a little longer but seriously once you get out and wheel it with the lift youll want more lift! So get the best lift you can now and never look back.

Allshocks was the least $$$ for me....because shockwarehouse is in FL, so I would've had to pay tax.

Yea, I'm in PA so no tax here.

Just curious, is there any reason I can't get another brand shock than bilstein? Like a little cheaper brand? :ROTFL: Or is it that bilstein works the best in this application?

Ranchos RSX's did work great, but no longer made
OME makes great shocks as well as Bilstein
Most others make some better shocks but you have to look out for the cheapies
remember you get what you pay for . Cheap shocks, cheap ride

Don't worry about pounding down the pinch welds, where I live there's snow and salt up in there for near half the year and I haven't had any rust in 3 years! Just make sure you coat it really well with undercoat tar spray or the paint on stuff.

Try this
http://www.dpgoff-road.com/site/kj_liberty_kits.htm

so far the best deal I have found. he can put the spings you want into the package and I think shipping was like $60 compared to the $99 allJ quoted me.
