Myself and a few others decided to get out one last beach before the end of this year and man was it cold! We got there early in the morning around 6:30esh to air down and head out by 7esh. When we were all airing down a small fox decided to snick up on us. He didn't seem to scared because he passed 5 feet away from me.

Ok back on track. Here are the few pictures I took. Hope everyone enjoys them!

Image
Aired down and ready to go.

Image

Image
Heading to the Jetty

Image
Jeepen_it_real cruising down the beach.

Image
BennyMigs found a puddle and then....

Image
splash!

Image
We found a small sand hill and decided to do a "Jeep train"

Image

Image
This was were the fun began. BennyMigs was able to find the a nice soft spot of sand and well... the picture says its all...

Image
Of course instead of taking out the straps to get him out we took out our cameras

Image

Image

Image
Dean laughing in the back ground as he sees Bennys rig but then this happens.....

Image

He also gets stuck! :ROTFL:

Image

Image

Image
Benny busts out his husky winch but soon found out he would have to use 335 ft*lb of duratraced torque to get him out

Image

Dean gets out of the soft sand and decides errrm to be Dean...?

Image

Image

More pictures coming soon...

I think the video pretty much sums up what went wrong when a KJ gets all 4 wheels off the ground! Yeeehaw!!! Great video Benny, you really captured the essence of all that is the General Dean! Classic!
And Dean, what's the damage toyour jeep? Just a new R&P?

I might as well put my pictures in this post too.
First, I forgot my camera.. How do I still have a job?
I guess that's whats happens when you're awake for roughly 46 hours. Oh well. I was able to take some shots with some cool SLRs anyway.

Sunday morning was a great time, it was good to see the guys again. Oh, and that breakfast, that was good (for a Suffolk diner, lol).

So, the General Dean, huh.. hmmm, I like. 8)

I guess when you have no power steering, you lose your Stability control systems.

New Rack & Pinion works like a charm! Don't be Jealous.. 8)
And some new tie-rods, apparently they were bent.. don't see how that's possible though.

I'm ready for another run! :D

Well have to pop that cherry real soon. Don't want to scratch up that perfect paint job though!

well to be honest I jinxed myself... went to the beach on the 24th, let mt sister drive cause I promised I would... she got the truck stuck, my buddy with a 4runner forgot his d ring reciever... I was completely hung up on a log... was forced to attach directly to his hitch, but i let him do it... hook up the snatch strap to my truck to my d-ring and i found out later he hooked his end to the safetly chain area of his hitch, well after a yank i here... " Bang", the part broke off n cracked my bumper, I'm lucky it didnt fly through my back window and hit me, bumper aside i was still stuck so i then attached it to his hitch the way it should have been ( shame on me for not checkin him) and he pulled me up and off.... My sister who was driving didnt realize when going over an obstacle you have to stay on top of it... she dropped the 2 front wheels over n that was it.... i was directing her not to, she just didnt listen. Well a little gorilla tape later, we were wheelin again, let her drive throw a bunch of big puddle and rev the crap out of it, in fact my oil light turned on haha. I let her cooled down when i aired up.

So lessons i have learned: don't let my sister drive my truck

either way i'm not too upset, sucks it happened but that means i get to upgrade to something a a little beefier

the end result: everything is okay i think, i mean the truck is making a few funny noises, but i think its a result of sand getting in the brakes etc cause i was spinning the tires trying to get unstuck. Truck makes a shh shh shh sounds when driving, and goes faster and slower as i go faster and slower so i know its something having to do with the wheels/ breakes.... i'm gunna pull the wheels off and check her out fast tomorrow, i got to make sure its nothing big before this snow cause i need my truck to work.

Wow!! That looks fun!! I've never had my KJ in wet sand. We have the river banks here but the sands so deep and dry you have to keep it in 4high and stay moving to kinda float on top.
