Revo Question.

Looking on the Tire Rack Web site and they have 2 different tires and prices for 245/75/16 Revos.
1 with the E on the end for about $150.00 and 1 w/o for about $120.00 Whats the E represent and what should I get?

I went with the passenger-rated (SL) tires, and I've never felt any need to have the thicker, heavier ones. I've got several deep gashes in mine, and they've never given me any problem. I've done some pretty serious wheeling with them, too.

Just to be safe, though, I'll probably try to go with a C load rating on my next tires (when I buy 15" wheels and tires). But I don't personally have any interest in E-rated tires--I just think they're too stiff for my tastes.

E Load tires are for very heavy duty stuff. My father-in-law has them on his 2000 Ford Excursion (Powerstroke diesel) to assist in pulling his 14,000lb pontoon houseboat. He runs them at 60psi. Without the boat behind it, the rig runs down the road like a brick s**t house :shock:

The highest I've gone was a C Load range on a full size Z-71, again, for trailer towing and load capacity purposes only. I run the P rated Revos and am very happy that I do - too short of a wheel base on the KJ for stiff tires.

I see on the Tire Rack web site 1 Revo with anE one with a C and one w/o a letter. Is that Revo Ok for a Daily driver and some offroading?

I got the Revos in 245/75 in the passenger rating and they ride great

Trust me, even their sidewall is alot stronger than the stock goodyears, you will see that when you take the goodyears off

Oh, the Mastercare Tire Centers had the Revos on sale last week, 245/75 for 127 a tire!

I actually road on some goodyear MT/R in a KJ with load rating E and they didn't seem to ride any different than my P-rate Destination A/Ts. The extra weight didn't seem to affect preformance at all either. If i had to do it again I would go with some E-rated tires because it didn't really seem to make a difference and you get thicker sidewalls.
