Proud new owner of a 06 CRD Sport with 106k! I know little about the previous owners maintainence habits, so I'm gonna take the safe route and replace the timing belt this weekend. I've been reading the CRD noobie guide (thanks for that) and am gonna tackle the sensor cleaning as well. Any other recommendations? When should the tranny be flushed/filled, how about the cooling system? Any help is appreciated.

Make sure to change the waterpump with the timing belt and all the pulleys and tensioners also.Trans(ATF+4 only) should be serviced every 30k or so,t-case every 60k(ATF+4 only),F/R diffs every 12k-15k,coolant(HOAT coolant only) is every 5 years/100k,and since they are the 2 most neglected fluids in any vehicle better off doing the power steering fluid(ATF+4) and brake fluid also.Check the serp belt,if OEM just change it with another EPDM belt(OEM is best) and repalce the tensioner also at the same time.

So I just got a hold of service records the dealer had performed before the sale. It states "R&R fuel filter housing with redesigned unit. Replace pigtail wiring harness that feeds unit. New filter comes with sensor warning". Also "R&R glow plug #3, clean intake elbow charge pipe and egr pipe of debris". Now the CEL is on and it shows code 1265, which is low resistance on GP #3. It's been replaced, so is this something I should be concerned with? It starts and runs fine, even in this ridiculously cold weather.
