Was looking for something that would give me readouts for EGT and oil pressure. This meter seems to fit the bill as well as reading and clearing error codes.

Anyone have any experiance using this on a CRD?

Seems like a great item. But I think the Jeeps are very limited on what they will report to a guage like this. I'd like to know if anyone has used this too.... or an Ultra Guage for that matter. Just would like to know what parameters the CRD will actually report.

As I understand it because our CRD's have two computers that fight each other constantly when you try and put a gauge reader inline it conflicts with those computers and screws up the system. It just doesnt work.

I believe the use of the Bully Dog in a CRD would depend on the model year. The late model KJs used a Hybrid bus system, however, obdII scanners do work on my 2007 so I see no reason why the Bully Dog wouldn't work to some degree. You would need to use their pyro exhaust gas sensor (but that is true of most gauge makers). I bought my Prosport gauges just before finding out about the Bully Dog. If you could get one on a conditional purchase (ie return if it doesn't work) then someone should do it.

Maybe GDE can sus it out for us? I'd like to see GDE move into instrumentation - now that they understand the CRDs.

If GDE would be able to come up with a scan gauge solution for the CRD, I'm buying!

Found a review on one of the other jeep forums. Guy used the Bully Dog Watchdog on a jrrp with the 3.0L diesel. http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/sh ... p?t=515584

He said he had good results after several thousand miles. Makes me think it might work on the Liberty but would really like to hear from someone that has actual experiance with it on the CRD.
