Now before we start, my rear rotors + pads are shot! This may have something to do with that, which is actually what I'm hoping. Today while driving home (from the auto parts store to buy the rotors+pads actually) I noticed that it was driving fine like normal, but when I come to a full stop as I start to almost hit the full stop and take those last few steps I can hear a weird growling noise, like the engine is whining down or something. I could have sworn it sounded like it was coming from the front, but my dad said it sounded like grinding, like you would get when your pads + rotors are GONE and it's grinding metal to metal. What do you guys think? I've never experienced this, and I'm FREAKING OUT! PLEASE HELP!!!

peace of mind? well, if you know they are shot, i'd bet it is the brakes grinding when stopping. pisser is it isn't getting any better by waiting. hope nobody runs out in front of you between now and Thursday.

Well I didn't want it to be another problem, I already knew I had to do the brakes so I really didn't want to be parinoid that something else just broke. And I already know that, which is why they're being done Thursday. :JEEPIN:

sound gets bounced around pretty good inside a vehicle, there's many sounds that sound like they come from one direction but it's just reverb

when "diagnosing" things, you have to start with the known and the most likely and work from there, so until the pads/rotors are done there's really not much you diagnose
