How do you take off the factory antenna? I just bought a shorty black antenna to replace the factory one. Having some difficulty on trying to get the thing off.

Googled how to remove Jeep antenna. I was reading the links that came back and it's more complicated that I thought, or is it? I thought you just unscrew the antenna and screw the new one in. :dizzy:
Anyone know how to do this? It shouldn't be this hard.

Got that part done and well the adapter won't even fit the Jeep :dizzy:
It's a little piece of metal. Frooze to death just taking the antenna off and came back inside to warm up. Guess I'll have to put the factory one back on until I can sort it out tomorrow. I just wasted $6+tax :banghead: I could have bought a 6 inch steak&cheese sub from Subway with that! :ROTFL:

I bought a "universal" one from Autozone and Advanced both and neither would fit. Ordered the one from AntennaX and it fit perfectly.

You could ask if they have the adapter for an H2. They have the same thread pattern.
