Found a mud hole on a logging trail near Michigamme!

Actually had a nice, solid base. Wasn't as nasty as it looks.

Woohoo!!!

Was searching Craigslist and found a Yakima load warrior rack with the tire carrier included for $150. Still need a lift, but it's coming together nicely otherwise....

Made my crossbars from 1/2 galvanized pipe painted black, attached them with U bolts, and capped them off with some rubber furniture feet. Gotta find some thread covers for the U bolts or else cover them with heat shrink to make it look a little neater. For now I'm leaving the tire on the tailgate, but I'll move it up top come spring when I start towing the boat.

I'll get some tomorrow. I meant to take a few during construction, but I was rushing trying to get them done and painted while the weather was warm and before the guy called to go buy the basket from him. 70 degrees today here in central VA! 40 something tomorrow though. The paint was actually still a little tacky when I mounted it. lol.
