that would possibly include bumpers, skids, rock sliders, and some body protection.

they do a lot of different bumper styles anywhere from skinned with winches to full out prerunner tubes. they also said they might be interested in making racks etc.

They are located in Georgia which is a hike from m in NY. Does anyone live around or near Lilburn, GA... It's right outside of Atlanta. They need to borrow the truck to take some measurements etc. They would be able to do work on KJ', KK's, or any other Vehicle you own.

( they will do any vehicle but i'm trying to get us group dicounts etc)

I am currently in Athens, GA (70 miles East of Atlanta, GA) but will be moving back to Atlanta on the 19th of this month. Send me a PM. Let's talk...

This company wouldn't happen to be near Kenesaw would it? Perhaps have that in their name?

Kennesaw is NW of ATL while Lilburn is NE.

There was a GA company that got everyone excited about bumpers and whatnot over on the patriot forums.... didn't work out. Just sayin'.

I'll stick to rock lizard. I'm all about helping getting a company started HOWEVER they might be blowing smoke up your @$$ just to get the name out... I was thinking the same thing that Rockies mentioned, a company from down that way talked about making bumpers and it never happen.

Zack, I understand what you are saying. And I firmly support Heather, Marty and Marlin, but I think there are a couple of things in their favor:

1) the shipping from CA or CO to GA is incredibly expensive;

2) the fact that there is a vendor that is potentially interested in supporting us when others have discontinued products is a positive;

3) another set of eyes and hands on a problem may lead to a solution that others have not thought of yet.

For those reasons, I am willing to hear what they have to say and offer.

I'm not trying to screw anyone... just give different types of options.... these guys do all diff types of style bumpers so it depends on what your into... i think the goal really here is to get us an aftermarket cause there isnt a large one, and as far as options... we are VERY limited, were if you have a wrangler or XJ etc you can be overwelmed with options

Think that at best this will be a waste of time and at worst will be another Sundance Customs http://www.youngs.org/scoffroad/

you may bash it but some people arent even willing ti try... and it doesnt only have to be bumpers... they would do skids also, and as a side note i know the rockstar bumper was short lived but i know if anyone had had one put it up for sale itd be snatrched up in a moment... people who build n change and do things make the market better. They shine new light on different styles designs and function... All I'm saying is this company does some nice work... they dont say " We speciailze in a certain vehicle" they say... I'm open to do what ever it is you want, which in return is what we need. The customer chooses what he desires as the product with help of design from an experienced offroad company. It would suck if our only option to even get bumpers was only ARB, we r happy Rock lizard has a line and happy other people strive to build there own. same concept...

Keep on them and report back to us. We won't hold our breath, but if they do the KJ dance, we will be shocked, but happy.

Sorry for the late reply. This shop is about 1 mile from my in-laws' house and about a 20 minute drive from mine. If they need a KJ to stop by for measurements, I may be able to be of service.

Dan, I was going to eventually suggest mine (to cover the 2002-04 KJ measurements), yours (to cover the 2005-06 CRD-specific differences), and John's (to cover the 2005-07 gaser differences). We still will need to find a KK driver in the metro-ATL area to have them take measurements for them as well.

Lilburn is about a 15 min drive from my place as well. I'll be calling them on Monday to start making the connections. Thanks for volunteering too. :D

That sounds like a good cross section. There's a 2wd guy in my neighborhood on the board as well, so perhaps I can get him to participate (not that the 2wd accessories would be very different).

I may try them out installing my boulderbars since I've still not gotten them installed since I bought them last fall :( A decent fab shop with a lift could probably install them in an hour.

Dan
