Hey guys...I have a 2011 Jeep Liberty. Just looking for some easy to install, fun, better productivity type of mods. Looking for examples to get. I wont be adding a lift at this time, so no worries about that.

Ex..Air Filter, Exhaust, Exhaust Tip, Chrome Door locks, low crossbars

I know this is vague but looking for some easy to install items here.

Cheap easy and fun, eh? Try making some crossbars with 1.25" conduit, bedliner, and square u bolts. (about $30)
swap ou interior lights for led's. The cheapo smd style ones from ebay have been holding up fine for me. Just look up the bulb types on sylvania's website. $20-30
I'm happy with my Thrush welded muffler $40 shipped+extension+clamps or weld on. I did a write up in the tech section on this. Btw thank you Diggerfreek for your info on this!
I'm in the middle of adding 55w aux halos to the rear, that cost about $50 after all the parts.
You could make your own intake with a k&n cone filter but honestly it doesn't do anything that I've noticed.
Have fun!!

Thank you for some of the quick ideas! I appreciate it!

The mod fever is happening already and it has only been 3 weeks.

Define "cheap".

I just put in a Jet chip on my otherwise stock KK and it was worth every penny of the $250 it cost me. I'd do it over and over again if I had to.

I can do $250...up to $400 is a good limit at this time. I removed "cheap" from my post...ha. I def can't put a grand in it at this point in time...over time I would like to do that though.

I don't know what you mean when you say add a chip? I have banned potato chips from my Jeep. sorry for the poor humor.

Where did you this hear this?

I haven't read anything of the sort. Honestly, the only difference I can tell in the tranny is that it doesn't seem to skip 3rd gear when down shifting on the highway anymore. That sucked before. Otherwise, tranny feels the same to me. I'd almost bet money that the Jet chip gave me 20hp throughout the powerband. Even my wife noticed the difference and she rarely drives it. That's without the recommend exhaust or cai too. My kk is stock except for the chip.

jet chip is only good if u get the stage 2, stage one is a waste... what is does is regulate the voltage to offer more fuel by saying the air intake temp is colder than it is.... this gives you prolonged RPM stretches which is why you feel more power ( since hp and toque curves are best around 3000-4000 RPMS). This also is why the shift is different. I have one and i must say i really like mine... as far as fuel economy i don't think it helps too much, but by getting to faster speeds and then being in a higher gear helps fuel economy as RPMs go down on a higher shift, so by getting you there faster it does help a bit.... if you interested in buying sometimes people have em for sale here... check out the parts section at the bottom of the board.

as far as the point of this post, what kind of mods are we talking, are we talking for looks or are we talking for power... if your talking looks let me know i got a whole list of things u can do for dirt cheap

Jeepinitreal...I am looking for both performance and looks actually. I like a lot of what you have done with your Black Liberty. Mostly the reason why I made this post. I just purchased a 2011 Black Liberty. If you have a list of things for looks, I would really appreciate the help and if you have any idea where to purchase some of the stuff, that would be even better.

I want to:
-tint my front windows to match the rest
-chrome door locks
-low lying roof crossbars for kayak
-interested in side rails because my girls have a hard time getting into the Jeep
-door sills

But I am looking for other nice mods that I may not even know about yet, for example someone had mentioned the LED interior lights, I never thought about that.

Thanks for the help! oh and fuel economy isn't of major importance because it already has bad gas mileage, ha.

I thought I read it on here somewhere but theres a good chance Im wrong. I thought Id share my knowledge, whether its correct or not, because trannys are expensive and it would be a real pain in the butt to have to have it fixed.

I agree. I love my JET chip. As far as taking out the tranny, it doesn't add that much power.

Could always cut your hood and add vents like I did...

the jet chip in no way communicates to the tcm, its only interconnected between one connector and the ecm.
